Beaches and coves in San Antonio

Turquoise waters, golden sands, magical sunsets... Can you imagine that?

Beyond San Antonio's famous leisure and entertainment options, the town also boasts plenty of stunning beaches and coves that will whisk you off to paradise. Ready to embark on a journey with us?

Cala Bassa

Cala Bassa, one of the most popular beaches in Ibiza, is famous for its magnificent natural surroundings and also for its peaceful and family atmosphere. What's more, thanks to its crystal-clear shallow waters and its practical access, it's the perfect option for a beach day with the kids.

It's a very well-connected beach by car with hassle-free parking very close by. In the summer months, there's also a scheduled ferry service that will drop you off right on the beach.

It has parking, a lounger and parasol rental service, public toilets, a wide range of water sports, and a lifeguard station. What's more, for lunch or dinner there's a whole host of bars and restaurants, including a well-known beach club.

Cala Conta

If you're looking for an idyllic beach where you can admire a magnificent sunset, this beach is perfect for you.

Cala Conta, made up of several smaller coves, is one of the most popular beaches on the island. Its gin-clear waters and white sands will whisk you off to an authentic paradise on earth.

Here you can snorkel and discover Ibiza's seabed, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site thanks to its Posidonia seagrass meadows.

It also has multiple services, such as lounger and parasol rental, lifeguard station, beach bar, and several restaurants, making it the perfect choice for families.

The best thing, though, could quite well be the spectacular view over to the islets of Sa Conillera, Illa des Bosc, S'Espartar and Ses Bledes. Spectacular!

Cala Salada and Cala Saladeta

Cala Salada is a very quiet cove, located in an undeveloped area, surrounded by cliffs and magnificent nature.

Next to Cala Salada is Cala Saladeta, accessible by crossing some rocks or, even better, from the clifftop down through a pine grove and some steps that lead down to the sea.

Cala Salada, with crystal-clear waters and a typically Mediterranean backdrop, is an easily accessible beach with a family atmosphere. It has a showers, lounger and parasol rental, paddle boats, and a restaurant.

Meanwhile, Cala Saladeta, due to its trickier access and lack of services, is a beach with a younger atmosphere.

If you visit these beaches from June to September with your own car, you need to bear in mind that the number of vehicles is limited, so you'll most likely have to park at the free car park belonging to the San Antonio municipal swimming poll and take the L34 bus.

Otherwise, a good alternative is the boat service from San Antonio.

Punta Galera

Punta Galera is a totally different type of beach, which will wow you with its stunning landscapes.

It's basically a series of terraces formed by smooth and flat rocks on which beachgoers lay down their towels and worship the sun, do some yoga, or simply chill out.

It's a very quiet beach without any kind of services, making it ideal for nudism.

Cala Gració and Cala Gracioneta

These two small beaches, both of which are quiet and family-friendly, are set in an enclosed bay about a kilometre away from our hotel. Thanks to their shallow and crystal-clear sheltered from winds and tides, they're perfect for families with children.

Their natural setting, full of pine forests and other typically Mediterranean vegetation, is simply fabulous.

Cala Gració also has a lifeguard service and a beach bar, as well as a walkway for people with reduced mobility.
However, if you want to enjoy an even quieter atmosphere, you can access Cala Gracioneta along a little path hugging the coastline. The only thing to remember is that it fills up with people very quickly as it's so small.

Caló des Moro

Very close to San Antonio, next to the Paseo de Ses Variades promenade and just a two-minute stroll from our hotel, is this easily accessible cove famous for its stunning sunsets.

This beach has a wide range of services, such as lounger and parasol rental, paddle boats, showers, and a walkway for people with reduced mobility. You'll also find a variety of bars, terraces, and restaurants to choose from.

Port des Torrent

As it name suggests, this sandy beach is located next to the mouth of a torrent.

It's a busy beach, surrounded by hotels, apartments and shopping areas, which is usually quite popular with tourists and locals alike.

The natural Mediterranean setting and the typical fishermen's huts make this beach really special.

It's sheltered from strong winds and boasts calm and shallow waters, almost like natural pools, so it's perfect for families with children.

The beach also has countless bars and restaurants, lounger and parasol rental, showers, and water sports on offer, as well as a whole host of services. Despite its fine sand, at each end there's an area of rocks that is ideal for snorkelling stalwarts.

In short, Port des Torrent is an easily accessible beach, whether by car, by bus, or by boat from San Antonio.

As you can see, there are lots of beaches and coves that you can easily access from San Antonio. Try your best to explore them all and enjoy these Ibizan treasures!
